Running for Regional directorHello and welcome! A TICA member for many years, I live in the Pacific North West in Surrey BC, Canada. Many of you will already know me from TICA shows in the NW region in various positions as Ring Clerk, Master Clerk, Entry Clerk and exhibitor.
I have decided to run in the upcoming Election for Regional Director and would like to share with you, some of my hopes and vision for this region. TICA is, first and foremost, a celebration of cats. I believe in TICA and its members and know that together as a region, we can work together to promote animal welfare and education, encourage more shows and new exhibitors along with the benefits that our hobby brings to each and every individual that enters the TICA family. I understand that my role if elected is to represent the members of our Region and vote in accordance with the members best interests that they have expressed in regards to our Region at the Board level. That is my promise to the Northwest Region. The friendships, memories and personal enjoyment I have been so blessed to have received in my time spent in TICA are all cherished. As a member of four TICA clubs, I have considerable experience assisting with show productions including set up and tear down, in addition to the various Clerking positions, I have had the pleasure of showing my Persian Cats over the years at the international level across North America, attending seven Annual shows during this time, and ring clerking at three of them.

One of my goals is, with the cooperation and support of the Northwest members, to establish a fundraising committee to have funds available to new clubs to assist covering first time show expenses, as well as offering guidance in establishing new clubs and show promotion. We all want to see our Region grow, but also have to be willing to work together to see this accomplished.
In the future I would like to expand breeder awareness of the benefits of early spay/neuter clinics and regular health testing for genetic concerns. By creating a data base that could be found on the TICA Northwest Regional Website supported with links to low cost spay/ neuter clinics and genetic health testing, we could provide an invaluable tool for our members. Helping others and organizations comes naturally to me and I would love the challenge and opportunity to work with each and every one of you to see our Region flourish. I will continue to assist new members and exhibitors and will welcome your ideas, input and assistance in seeing this region grow. Thank you for your support!
